What is DUO Two-Factor Authentication?

DUO is a multi-factor authentication tool which will prevent hackers from stealing your information or data. 81% of hacking incidents are due to weak or stolen password. DUO gives you a line of defense between your password and the bad guys.

Getting Started with DUO

You'll will receive a DUO enrollment email. This email will contain a link to enroll your DUO account using your smartphone. No one else will be able to use this link to enroll for their DUO account. The link in the email will be valid for 30 days. After 30 days, you must contact ITS Help Desk at 512-854-9175 for help. The enrollment will walk you through on registering your smartphone using either DUO Mobile app (which is highly recommended) or SMS method. DUO Mobile app job is to protect you, not to mess with your stuff. It can’t spy on you or wipe your phone, and it won’t drain your data plan.
