HR Services partner with departments to create a dedicated point of contact within HRMD for consistent and standardized HR best practices. Critical core services for employees and management include: Employee Relations, Policy Interpretation, Management Consultation, Conflict Resolution, and HR Program Roll-out. Talent Services

Provides essential services related to talent management, including: attracting and recruiting talented staff, HR and applicant tracking systems updates and maintenance, managing HRMD site content on Travis Central, as well as HR reporting, and special projects. Our team is also available to assist with services such as: “Hiring Right” training, internships, navigating NeoGov, screening candidates for minimum qualifications through auto-scoring plans, review or development of interview questions, facilitation of the interview process or participating as a panelist, as well as notifying applicants not proceeding in the selection process, background checks, making job offers, offer letter preparation, and onboarding. Compensation

Administers classification and compensation services, including job analysis, market reviews, pay scale analysis, job descriptions, market salary surveys, classification reviews, policy development and revision, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) analysis and training. Additionally, Compensation provides analysis and processes personnel actions in accordance with County policies and State and Federal laws and regulations. See Department Assignment List.

Employee Health Clinic

The mission of the Travis County Employee Health Clinic is to reduce health care costs by partnering with health plan participants empowering them, through education, prevention, medicine and personal responsibility, to make choices that lead to a healthier lifestyle which reduces the cost of chronic illness and promotes workplace productivity. Three clinic locations are available to plan participants for physicals, screening, disease management, immunization and fast track appointments.

Risk Management and Workers Compensation

Provides a host of services for Travis County Departments and employees some of which are safety inspections, Ergonomic Assessments and internal and external claims handling.

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Compliance

Establishes, implements, and maintains an effective compliance program to prevent breaches of sensitive personal information that can lead to significant financial penalties to Travis County and reputational harm to the County and affected individuals in accordance with state and federal regulations. Reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. Supports the County’s HIPAA, the HIPAA Governing Committee by monitoring and reporting results of HIPAA compliance efforts and providing strategic guidance to aid compliance efforts.
