Other Tools for  Your Commute

  • Dadnab - Simply add (512) 981-6221 (for Austin) into your contact list and send a text message to Dadnab with the location you want to reach. Dadnab will send you a text with the nearest bus stop, the bus number and the time it is scheduled to arrive.
  • Car2go and Zipcar have you covered with use of shared cars for quick trips.
  • Chariot has three different public transit-like routes where individual can reserve a seat on a van using a smartphone app.  Chariot charges $3.50 per ride or $95 for a monthly pass.

Getting Around Texas

  • Greyhound buses can get you across the state or the country.
  • Take the train! Amtrak can get you from the downtown Austin station to Dallas or Houston … and anywhere else they travel from there.
